How to Add a Course (Waitlist Add)

Login to your MyTC Portal

Locate and login to your MyTC at: MyTC Portal by putting in your:

Your username will be your TC ID (your A-number with a Capital "A").

Your password will be the first letters from your first and last name and the last 6 numbers of your student ID #. (no spaces, first letter is capitalized)

Example: Jose Garcia ID: A00123456
Username=A00123456
Password = Jg123456

After you log in, there may be an initial account setup process for your MyTC Portal. Complete the setup and login.

Adding Yourself to the Course Waitlist

Within your MyTC dashboard, select the Banner 9 icon tile labeled "Registration (Cougar Tracks)."
Select the link labeled "Register for Classes" with the calendar icon.
Select the Terms Open for Registration drop-down menu to select the term you are registering for. Select the button labeled "Continue."
Find and select a course from the Search Results table and select the Add button in the Add column.
In the footer, select the button labeled "Submit." If the course is already full, you will be added to the waitlist. Waitlist registration is a first come first serve basis, so if a spot opens up for you, you will receive an email from the course instructor with the course add code.

Within your MyTC dashboard, select the Banner 9 icon tile labeled "Registration (Cougar Tracks)."
Select the link labeled "Register for Classes" with the calendar icon.
Select the Terms Open for Registration drop-down menu to select the term you are registering for. Select the button labeled "Continue."
In the Summary section (bottom-right), find the course that you are waitlisted for. In the Action column of the Summary table, use the drop-down menu and select "Drop Web."
In the footer, select the button labeled "Submit."
Select the link in the breadcrumbs labeled "Select a Term" and select "Continue."
Fill out the search criteria to find the course you were waitlisted for.
Find the correct course and course section from the Search Results and select "Add" from the Add column.
In the footer, select the button labeled "Submit."

Now that you are registered and show this class on your schedule in Cougar Tracks, you need to wait one day for your account to be updated in Canvas. You should be able to access the course in Canvas the morning after you add. If not, call DE Support at 661-763-7917.
