How To Upload a File Using Your Smartphone

Please watch this short video on uploading a file to an Assignment using your smartphone and the Canvas app.

Instructions

In your online courses, you may be required to upload a file or video for your assignments. An easy way to do this is by utilizing your smartphone and the Canvas Student Mobile App.

Select the Canvas Student mobile app on your smartphone.
Select your course from the Canvas Dashboard.
Navigate to the "Assignments" or "Modules" tab and select your assignment.
Click "Submit assignment."
Click "File upload."
Select "Files" at the bottom right of the screen.
From the list of your files, select the file you want to turn in.
In the upper right-hand corner, click "Submit.'
Be sure not to hit "Cancel submission" while your file uploads.

You will see a screen that reads "Successfully submitted!"

Note

The Canvas Mobile App has limited features compared to the browser version and should not be used for things like taking a quiz or posting to a discussion.
